Ionos

Connect your account​

After the connection of your Ionos account, ScaleDynamics will create and manage resources in your account. You should not modify, create, or delete these resources to avoid non deterministic behaviors of the ScaleDynamics platform. To interact with ScaleDynamics, please use only our SDK command lines or our console (http://console.scaledynamics.com).

To connect a Ionos account, you need to gather several information on your side.

What you need to get:

  • an email and password for a new administrator user,
  • define a data center prefix

Connect to your Data Center Designer​

First, connect to DCD using your credentials.

Get email and password for a new administrator user​

To create a new Administrator user, click on 'Management' (on the top bar), then 'Users and Groups.'

Then, click on the '+ Create' button.

On the user panel, enter a fictive First name and Last name (for example 'CaaS', and 'ScaleDynamics'), then choose an email and a password (remember it because we need it to connect the account). When done, click on 'Create' button.

After the user panel is refreshed, click on the user you created. Click on the 'Administrator' box and 'on the 'Save' button.

Define a prefix for resource allocation​

The next step is to define a prefix string that ScaleDynamics will use to allocate resources in your account. For example, all data center names created by ScaleDynamics will start with that prefix.

Create the connector​

On the ScaleDynamics console, select the 'cloud connectors' tab, then click on the '+ Cloud connector'. Select Ionos.

Then, give a name and an optional description to your connector

At last, fill email, password and prefix. You can set an optional peremption date. Then click on 'Create' button.
